Committee

You will be made very welcome if you can find time to join the Committee. As a registered charity our group is administered by a volunteer group of parents. Without the Committee, our Pre-school would be unable to function. Our success relies on parents, Committee and staff working together for the benefit of the children.

The Committee of parents carry out many roles for the Pre-school including:-

• Employing staff
• Dealing with financial matters
• Looking after/repairing equipment
• Keeping equipment levels and materials up to date
• Organising fund raising activities
• Keeping the garden looking nice
• Providing invaluable support to staff and extra help as required in Pre-school

The more volunteers we have on our Committee the less there is for each person to do. Even if you are only able to help by washing dressing up clothes or mending books we would still love to have you on the Committee.

Although we hold an AGM every autumn term when a new Committee is formed, you can join the Committee at any time. We encourage all parents to attend the AGM but you do not have to be on the Committee to be involved. You can volunteer to help at any time no matter how little time you have to spare. The success of our Pre-school relies on parents working in partnership with us and we value your involvement and input at any level.

Your Committee contact is the chairperson whose name and telephone number is displayed on the notice board and who will be happy to discuss matters relating to your Pre-school at any time.
